After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Rickard Nordin managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Knockouts's supporters rose to their feet, but Rickard Nordin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Malte Vennerdal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 8 minutes into the game, Manfred Hård was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chelsea FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Knockouts the free kick. After a rather tough play, Chelsea FC's Aaron Ekegren got a free kick in the 10th minute. Georg Melin, 10 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Rickard Nordin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Malte Vennerdal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Kasper Åman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josef Holmberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Ekenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Malte Vennerdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kasper Åman in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of The Knockouts booed when Chelsea FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingmar Uggla didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Chelsea FC's Gilbert Ekenberg got a free kick in the 48th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kasper Åman made a kick off. Malte Vennerdal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kasper Åman's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After having played for 61 minutes, Benjamin Andersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chelsea FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Andersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rickard Nordin struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Malte Vennerdal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Knockouts. Malte Vennerdal came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by The Knockouts's Kasper Åman. But to his dismay, Kasper Åman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 73rd minute, Kasper Åman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ingmar Uggla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Olov Boström kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, The Knockouts's Kasper Åman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Malte Vennerdal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in The Knockouts's zone, Gilbert Ekenberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josef Holmberg came out of the goal and Gilbert Ekenberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 98th minute, The Knockouts's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ingmar Uggla fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The The Knockouts fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chelsea FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
