An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Dalman in the 8th minute of play forced IFK Barcelona's goalkeeper Folke Glad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Folke Glad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Dalman in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Nykvarn BF's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Hägert came free, but Edgar Säv reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 played minutes IFK Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Kilberg. 21 minutes into the match, Nykvarn BF's Michel Ljungberg broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Evert Kaxe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of IFK Barcelona booed when Nykvarn BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Ove Kinnman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evert Kaxe kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Ivar Byström reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Folke Glad. The goal made the score 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evert Kaxe in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar Säv prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute Ian Hägert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Säv saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Nykvarn BF's zone, Evert Kaxe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Säv came out of the goal and Evert Kaxe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute of the match, Samuel Dalman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Folke Glad saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 41 minutes into the game, Nykvarn BF's Samuel Dalman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Folke Glad made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samuel Dalman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 63 minutes, Evert Kaxe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Barcelona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evert Kaxe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evert Kaxe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the game, IFK Barcelona's Ian Hägert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samuel Dalman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Glad having to interfere. Ian Hägert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Evert Kaxe reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edgar Säv. The goal made the score 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
