Alvin Sundström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Säv having to interfere. Alvin Sundströms short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Edgar Säv to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hans Häger during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Lyrestad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Häger to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nykvarn BF's goalkeeper Edgar Säv, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Jonas Svensson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lyrestad's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Svensson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Säv breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonas Svensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Edgar Säv tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Lyrestad's Jonas Svensson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Säv made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Alvin Sundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ola Tunström charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ola Tunström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Nykvarn BF getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ola Tunström hit a great ball. Alvin Sundström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Edgar Säv tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 38 minutes, Sven-Ove Kinnman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nykvarn BF and the Lyrestad players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Alvin Sundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Nykvarn BF's zone, Alvin Sundström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Säv came out of the goal and Alvin Sundström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Charlie Holmberg's late challenge caught a Lyrestad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charlie Holmberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th minute, Charlie Holmberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Dalman to make the kick off. Holger Kleen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Dalman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvin Sundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alvin Sundström struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Lyrestad's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvin Sundström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Säv breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvin Sundström in the 75th minute of play forced Nykvarn BF's goalkeeper Edgar Säv to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivar Byström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Nykvarn BF's Ivar Byström got a free kick in the 82nd minute. There was no doubt that Lyrestad were the better team. Lyrestad's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
