The IFK Barcelona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Folke Glad should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Per-Olof Lundqvist sped through IFK Barcelona's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Folke Glad. After 25 played minutes Heroes of the Storm got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Forsell. Evert Kaxe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joseph Tolsson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 32nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tage Söderberg. If Ian Hägert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Nilsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Glad having to interfere. The supporters of Heroes of the Storm booed when IFK Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Kilberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Ulf Kilberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IFK Barcelona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Heroes of the Storm the free kick. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Per-Olof Lundqvist to strike the kick off in the second half. If Elliot Britz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute Evert Kaxe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Tolsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gabriel Nilsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd match minute, Heroes of the Storm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Jönsson to maneuver through the defense. Ian Hägert might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joseph Tolsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ian Hägert ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, IFK Barcelona's Elliot Britz got a free kick in the 91st minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Heroes of the Storm walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
