Tärnaby's Bertil Boklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Andreasson in the 13th minute of play. Kenneth Nyman did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Karl-Erik Waller 18 minutes into the match. Bertil Boklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kåre Vennersten, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Kenneth Nyman hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Henry Andreasson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lokomotiv Tåg's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry Andreasson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bertil Boklund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emil Jönsätt took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bertil Boklund. Bertil Boklund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Bertil Boklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Andreasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Okan Tinglöv hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rune Back could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Karl-Erik Waller made a huge save. Emil Jönsätt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Bertil Boklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Lokomotiv Tåg were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kåre Vennersten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 59 minutes of play, Lokomotiv Tåg's Henry Andreasson made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bertil Boklund was left in no man's land by his defense there! 63 minutes into the match, Kenneth Nyman notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Lokomotiv Tåg's Karl-Erik Waller. Karl-Erik Waller was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tärnaby's Bertil Boklund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Tärnaby from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute, Emil Jönsätt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bertil Boklund. The goal made the score 2-5. Sven-Arne Lindström hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Henry Andreasson could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Bertil Boklund however easily saved by the left post. 90 minutes into the game, Sven-Ove Lindell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lokomotiv Tåg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tärnaby the free kick. Sven-Ove Lindell kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Henry Andreasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
