In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club de fútbol Ceylon's goalkeeper Jon Friberger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Club de fútbol Ceylon's goal looked a bit too open when Kenneth Björkdal came free, but Jon Friberger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglas Ahlgren in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rune Ek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 26 minutes, Pål Carlsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Pangberg and the Club de fútbol Ceylon players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Club de fútbol Ceylon booed when FC Pangberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pål Carlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jon Friberger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Stål in the 34th minute of the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Douglas Ahlgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Douglas Ahlgren to strike the kick off in the second half. Alf Stål fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jon Friberger having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alf Stål in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jon Friberger saved Club de fútbol Ceylon from getting behind. A collision led to Club de fútbol Ceylon getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Marc Pihlblad hit a great ball. Alf Stål recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Magnus Wahlnäs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Magnus Wahlnäs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rune Ek having to make a save. Douglas Ahlgren scored 1-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rune Ek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Magnus Wahlnäs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club de fútbol Ceylon's supporters rose to their feet, but Magnus Wahlnäs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Ek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, FC Pangberg's Thomas Löfgren got a free kick in the 74th minute. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Pangberg's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jimmy Nyman was slow to take the kick. During this time Club de fútbol Ceylon's players had a chance to rest. At last the ball reached Jerry Liljeström at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of FC Pangberg. 2-1. FC Pangberg's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sven-Oskar Örnberg in the 83rd minute. Sven-Oskar Örnberg made a great header on FC Pangberg's corner, it was just that Club de fútbol Ceylon's Jon Friberger managed to reach the ball for a save. Jon Friberger was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alf Stål showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 84 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Magnus Wahlnäs managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Pangberg's Rune Ek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magnus Wahlnäs in the 96th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
