The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urban Löfgren helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vitå booed when Borrby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urban Löfgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Borrby's zone, Filip Björk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Björn Utter came out of the goal and Filip Björk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Holger Kuse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Per-Åke Ahlgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borrby's supporters rose to their feet, but Per-Åke Ahlgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fredric Bäckman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fredric Bäckman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Åke Ahlgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Filip Björk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Björn Utter made a huge save. In the 22nd minute, Per-Åke Ahlgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Per-Åke Ahlgren came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Borrby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per-Åke Ahlgren couldn't finish the play. If Filip Björk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitå's Fredric Bäckman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Holger Kuse in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Borrby were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Alvar Ståhlberg made the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Holger Kuse fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fredric Bäckman, passed just outside the right post. Per-Åke Ahlgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Fredric Bäckman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Vitå's Fredric Bäckman got control of the ball when Per-Åke Ahlgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sven-Erik Pihl hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute of the match, Per-Åke Ahlgren got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fredric Bäckman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 87 played minutes Vitå got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Ove Pihlberg. Ola Fagrell was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Per-Åke Ahlgren notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Vitå's Fredric Bäckman. Fredric Bäckman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Urban Löfgren got his second yellow card in the match during the 93rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Samuel Kielberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borrby's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel Kielberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fredric Bäckman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 98 minutes, Per-Åke Ahlgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borrby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Per-Åke Ahlgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Vitå fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Borrby were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
