Legia Warsaw Patriots's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peter Elg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Legia Warsaw Patriots getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Patrik Nyman hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Bengt-Rune Thorsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vaksdal IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Bengt-Rune Thorsberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lennart Emander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Vaksdal IF's Peter Elg in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Legia Warsaw Patriots's goalie prevented a goal. Peter Lenberg scored 0-2 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lennart Emander, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Vaksdal IF fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Vaksdal IF's Peter Elg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bengt-Rune Thorsberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 20 played minutes Legia Warsaw Patriots got a freekick which was hit by Wilhelm Bergren. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Rune Thorsberg in the 23rd minute of play forced Legia Warsaw Patriots's goalkeeper Lennart Emander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Vaksdal IF getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Karl-Åke Mårtensson hit a great ball. If Peter Elg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Legia Warsaw Patriots's zone, Bengt-Rune Thorsberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lennart Emander came out of the goal and Bengt-Rune Thorsberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lennart Emander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christer Esbjörnsson's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Peter Elg scored 0-4 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lennart Emander, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Karl-Erik Ödman made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Karl-Åke Mårtensson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vaksdal IF and the Legia Warsaw Patriots players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Vaksdal IF getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Karl-Åke Mårtensson hit a great ball. Peter Elg struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Lennart Emander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vaksdal IF. Vaksdal IF's Bengt-Rune Thorsberg got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lennart Emander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Elg, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Christer Esbjörnsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lennart Emander came out and tried to block the shot, but Christer Esbjörnsson slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 62nd minute. When Vaksdal IF's Peter Lenberg in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Legia Warsaw Patriots's goalie prevented a goal. After 71 played minutes Vaksdal IF got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Åke Mårtensson. Stefan Vesterberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boris Brodin, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 73 played minutes Vaksdal IF got a freekick which was hit by Joachim Andberg. Lennart Emander came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Vaksdal IF's Peter Elg. But to his dismay, Peter Elg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Karl-Åke Mårtensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Lennart Emander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Legia Warsaw Patriots's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Elg came free, but Lennart Emander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Vaksdal IF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Legia Warsaw Patriots throughout the match.
