To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Carl Dahlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hjuvik AIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carl Dahlberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Hjuvik AIK booed when Finsta IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Enegren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carl Dahlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egil Hydén having to interfere. Egil Hydén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Smed in the 39th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Carl Dahlberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Egil Hydén was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 43rd minute Carl Dahlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egil Hydén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ove Smed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egil Hydén having to interfere. Ove Smed could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Egil Hydén made a huge save. Egil Hydén made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Ove Smed sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Finsta IF's Erik Öfverman got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute Carl Dahlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egil Hydén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Finsta IF's Egil Hydén got control of the ball when Ove Smed tried to sneak it across the goal line. Egil Hydén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bror Myr in the 87th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Finsta IF's zone, Ove Smed stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egil Hydén came out of the goal and Ove Smed tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carl Dahlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Hjuvik AIK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hjuvik AIK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
