Spectators: 7372 (Terracing: 5530, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Österskär's Thomas Näver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Björling in the 11th minute of play. Thomas Näver stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eric Björling's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. When George Ekström fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alfahannarna FC's protests and gave George Ekström a yellow card for diving instead. George Ekström hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Ove Lundström reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thomas Näver. The goal made the score 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Jan-Ove Jonsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Österskär's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Ove Jonsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Palo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 48 minutes into the match, Österskär's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Björling came free, but Thomas Näver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Harry Pålsson made the kick off in the second half. Harry Pålsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Joel Palo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Sven Söderqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 66 played minutes Alfahannarna FC got a freekick which was hit by Folke Petersson. In the 68th minute of the match, Harry Pålsson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joel Palo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Joel Palo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Pålsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Björling in the 71st minute of play forced Österskär's goalkeeper Thomas Näver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Österskär booed when Alfahannarna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ove Lundström didn't get a good kick on the ball.
