Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Stig-Åke Fransson made the kick off and thus started the match. Marcus Hökqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Marcus Hökqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Algot Forssberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Åtvidaberg FF's Krister Larsson got a free kick in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reine Myr in the 13th minute of play forced Åtvidaberg FF's goalkeeper Algot Forssberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Per-Åke Pihlgren during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Anderstorp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Åke Pihlgren to maneuver through the defense. Algot Forssberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcus Hökqvist went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Anderstorp getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Marcus Hökqvist hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Reine Myr got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Åtvidaberg FF booed when Anderstorp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Åke Pihlgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Henry Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Åtvidaberg FF's Stig-Åke Fransson in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Anderstorp's goalie prevented a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcus Hökqvist to make the kick off. The corner led Anderstorp's Stig Spets to fire away a dangerous shot which Algot Forssberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marcus Hökqvist struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Algot Forssberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anderstorp. Åtvidaberg FF's Algot Forssberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Hökqvist in the 68th minute of play. Sixten Vestlund kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Marcus Hökqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute, Krister Larsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 78 played minutes Åtvidaberg FF got a freekick which was hit by Sixten Vestlund. Algot Forssberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Hökqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Algot Forssberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Hökqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 84 minutes into the match, Åtvidaberg FF's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Lindgren came free, but Algot Forssberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sixten Vestlund kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th minute of the match Stig Spets sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Algot Forssberg skillfully saved the ball. Marcus Hökqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Algot Forssberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Åtvidaberg FF's goalkeeper Algot Forssberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Erling Levander made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Henry Berg sent off a good shot on target. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Anderstorp had played much better football throughout.
