Roma's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valter Österlund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Erik Mossberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Hydén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 played minutes Roma got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Grönlund. In the 11th minute, Pontus Henriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, Simon Hydén made a precise shot to the right of Erik Mossberg. Roma's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. A collision led to Roma getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Pontus Henriksson hit a great ball. Vincent Kielstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pontus Henriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Simon Hydén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eric Helander's late challenge caught a Roma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eric Helander helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes Österbymo got a freekick which was hit by Eric Helander. In the 30th minute Jonatan Smefeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Kielstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gottfrid Böcklund came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vincent Kielstedt could save by the left post. In the 33rd minute, Roma's Jonatan Smefeldt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vincent Kielstedt. Vincent Kielstedt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Roma's Erik Mossberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Grep in the 39th minute of play. Fredrik Löfgren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erik Mossberg having to make a save. Pontus Henriksson kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Simon Hydén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Erik Mossberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gottfrid Böcklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Simon Hydén stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Simon Hydén blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erik Mossberg having to make a save. Gottfrid Böcklund might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vincent Kielstedt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gottfrid Böcklund ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Roma's zone, Sebastian Grep stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Mossberg came out of the goal and Sebastian Grep tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the game, Österbymo's Simon Hydén nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erik Mossberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. A collision led to Roma getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Lars Skoog hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Nils-Åke Västerberg sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Roma's Erik Mossberg didn't even have to move. The supporters of Österbymo booed when Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pontus Henriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simon Hydéns short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Erik Mossberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Österbymo's Simon Hydén got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Simon Hydén ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erik Mossberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. After a rather tough play, Roma's Pontus Henriksson got a free kick in the 86th minute. Erik Mossberg didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 1-6. When the final whistle sounded Österbymo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Roma.
