Spectators: 7298 (Terracing: 5475, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Krister Nyman started the match with the kick off. Malte Svanström scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfred Landin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Vetlanda IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Krister Nyman came free, but Rune Pettersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Krister Nyman in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rune Pettersson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfred Landin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Åkerman in the 24th minute of play. Christian Åkerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edwin Jelm kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. When Elias Hermansson came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Lukas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Hermansson couldn't finish the play. Krister Nyman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Pettersson having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Vetlanda IFK got a freekick which was hit by Fred Lindsten. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Christian Åkerman made the kick off in the second half. Elias Hermansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute Elias Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Pettersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Krister Nyman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Elias Hermansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lukas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Hermansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Pettersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Edwin Jelm fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lukas FC's protests and gave Edwin Jelm a yellow card for diving instead. Christian Åkerman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfred Landin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 82ndth minute of the game Pål Nordin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vetlanda IFK's Rune Pettersson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Krister Nyman fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lukas FC's protests and gave Krister Nyman a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 played minutes Lukas FC got a freekick which was hit by Krister Nyman. In the 95th minute Pål Nordin collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. In the 96th minute, Roy Ek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
