After a defensive mix-up in IFK Garphyltan's zone, Folke Lekberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vilhelm Trulsson came out of the goal and Folke Lekberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute Bengt-Åke Lindkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilhelm Trulsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to IFK Garphyltan getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Alvin Blanck hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, IFK Garphyltan's Kurt Örtendal got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 30th minute, Edwin Hellqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Jarl Gustavsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Garphyltan's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarl Gustavsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Nyberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the IFK Garphyltan defense, Hjalmar Brogren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vilhelm Trulsson. The IFK Garphyltan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vilhelm Trulsson should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute, Bengt-Åke Lindkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Folke Lekberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivar Sjöberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Nyberg having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hjalmar Brogren to make the kick off. Hjalmar Brogren might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vilhelm Trulsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hjalmar Brogren ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of IFK Garphyltan booed when Malmberg City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Magnus Soned didn't get a good kick on the ball. Malmberg City FC's Christian Nyberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Bergqvist in the 55th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kasper Wester during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to IFK Garphyltan getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Kasper Wester hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Malmberg City FC's Hjalmar Brogren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vilhelm Trulsson. That made the score 0-2 after 71 minutes of play. Malmberg City FC's Folke Lekberg got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, IFK Garphyltan's goal looked a bit too open when Hjalmar Brogren came free, but Vilhelm Trulsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bengt-Åke Lindkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vilhelm Trulsson having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Hjalmar Brogren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vilhelm Trulsson. The goal made the score 0-3.
