The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lars Hallgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tim Örnberg's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Segelsällskapet's Ragnar Byström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliot Söderberg in the 11th minute of play. Elliot Söderberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ragnar Byström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elliot Söderberg ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Segelsällskapet's goalkeeper Ragnar Byström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ragnar Byström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elliot Söderberg went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 28 minutes of play, Möklinta RK's Henry Andersson made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ragnar Byström was left in no man's land by his defense there! 32 minutes into the match, Segelsällskapet's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Andersson came free, but Ragnar Byström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anton Sjöman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ragnar Byström having to interfere. Sivert Lundgren got a throw-in 37 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Stig-Arne Nordström. In the 38th minute, Elliot Söderberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Möklinta RK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Henry Andersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rune Valrot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ragnar Byström having to interfere. Anton Sjöman struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Ragnar Byström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Möklinta RK. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elliot Söderberg to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Segelsällskapet's zone, Anton Sjöman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ragnar Byström came out of the goal and Anton Sjöman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Möklinta RK's Elliot Söderberg in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Segelsällskapet's goalie prevented a goal. In the 71st minute of the match Sören Pihlwall shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ragnar Byström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Elliot Söderberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elliot Söderberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ragnar Byström having to interfere. Sören Pihlwall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Henry Andersson came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Möklinta RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henry Andersson couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Sören Pihlwall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Möklinta RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sören Pihlwall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ragnar Byström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anton Sjöman's late challenge caught a Segelsällskapet's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anton Sjöman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th match minute, Möklinta RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Sjöman to maneuver through the defense. When Rune Valrot came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Möklinta RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rune Valrot couldn't finish the play. Elliot Söderberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ragnar Byström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elliot Söderberg ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match was over Möklinta RK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Segelsällskapet throughout the match.
