In the 5th minute Kalle Ryberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tage Åhman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Kalle Ryberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tage Åhman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tage Åhman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Holger Hernström, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Jens-Ola Lind's late challenge caught a Hammarby IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jens-Ola Lind helped the player get up and apologised. Jens-Ola Lind kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Hammarby IF's Kalle Ryberg got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to CaptainCowboys getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Ove Uter hit a great ball. Alexander Henriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tage Åhman having to interfere. If Jimmie Ahlström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 35th minute, Verner Qvarnström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmie Ahlström in the 36th minute of play forced Hammarby IF's goalkeeper Ludwig Björnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Ove Uter came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the CaptainCowboys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ove Uter couldn't finish the play. In the 53rd minute Ove Uter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludwig Björnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 played minutes Verner Qvarnström rounded CaptainCowboys's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. CaptainCowboys's Tage Åhman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Holger Hernström in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalle Ryberg in the 64th minute of play forced CaptainCowboys's goalkeeper Tage Åhman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Jan Österberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, CaptainCowboys's goal looked a bit too open when Verner Qvarnström came free, but Tage Åhman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Jimmie Ahlström suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Simon Enström fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hammarby IF's protests and gave Simon Enström a yellow card for diving instead. After 75 played minutes Hammarby IF got a freekick which was hit by Simon Enström. In the 78th minute, Verner Qvarnström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ludwig Björnsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Uter, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Ove Uter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Ludwig Björnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Hammarby IF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CaptainCowboys throughout the match.
