Spectators: 6674 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Börje Svanér started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agne Kilman got free with Arman Tingberg in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wictor Finnman kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Agne Kilman was extremely unlucky when he, in the 15th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 19 minutes, Johan Kjellman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Romelanda and the Grönahög FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th minute, Johan Kjellman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute, Rickard Björkkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filiph Dahlquist, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Romelanda's Bengt Hellqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmy Jespersson in the 25th minute of play. In the 35th minute André Apelquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Hellqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Romelanda booed when Grönahög FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Åke Alström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Romelanda's zone, Jimmy Jespersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt Hellqvist came out of the goal and Jimmy Jespersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when André Apelquist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. André Apelquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Bengt Hellqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Romelanda's goal looked a bit too open when André Apelquist came free, but Bengt Hellqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agne Kilman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arman Tingberg having to interfere. Bengt Hellqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jimmy Jespersson in the 61st minute. The supporters of Grönahög FK booed when Romelanda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo-Erik Käcker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bengt Hellqvist made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Jimmy Jespersson sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute, Johan Kjellman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Romelanda's Bengt Hellqvist got control of the ball when Jimmy Jespersson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bengt Hellqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Apelquist's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Grönahög FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
