Konrad Zander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Pihlwall in the 27th minute of the match. Filip Berg was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Felix Rosin. Filip Berg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tage Fredriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Konrad Zander came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Hammarby IF's Jonas Wennerqvist. But to his dismay, Jonas Wennerqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Jimmy Pihlwall made the kick off in the second half. Verner Pihlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute Tage Fredriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Berg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 played minutes Manchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Bogren. If Jimmy Pihlwall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
