After a defensive mix-up in Luxostars IF's zone, Emanuel Harman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eddie Nykvist came out of the goal and Emanuel Harman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lennart Lund kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 29thth minute of the game Sonny Käller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Luxostars IF's Eddie Nykvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 31 minutes, Christian Vester mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luxostars IF and the Degerhamn players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute, Christian Vester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Luxostars IF's Holger Vollander got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Eddie Nykvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sonny Käller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After taking down the ball on Degerhamn's corner Leif Wästerberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eddie Nykvist quite easily take care of the ball. Luxostars IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Sonny Käller scored to the left of an out of position Eddie Nykvist, making the score, 0-2. Eddie Nykvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sonny Käller in the 62nd minute of the match. Eddie Nykvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon Magnusson, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Malcolm Back fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Nykvist having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Vester in the 67th minute of play forced Degerhamn's goalkeeper Michael Ahlrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sonny Käller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Eddie Nykvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
