A collision led to Degerhamn getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Sonny Käller hit a great ball. Konrad Zander was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sonny Käller showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 32 minute of play. Sonny Käller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Degerhamn fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Degerhamn's Sonny Käller looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Sonny Käller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Konrad Zander was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 57th minute, Jon Magnusson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 90 minutes, Jon Magnusson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Degerhamn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jon Magnusson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute, Sonny Käller made a precise shot to the right of Konrad Zander. Manchester United FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Degerhamn fully deserved thier win.
