Spectators: 7303 (Terracing: 5478, Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Börje Svanér started the match with the kick off. Leif Lindgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt Hellqvist having to interfere. Bengt Hellqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! 14 minutes into the game, Christian Vester recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bengt Hellqvist. Christian Vester showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. A hard shot 17 in the game by Leif Lindgren from a close distance when the talented Bengt Hellqvist managed to make a qualified save. Romelanda's players were relieved. After 20 played minutes, Romelanda's Johan Kjellman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eddie Nykvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Romelanda reached it. 22 minutes into the match, Luxostars IF's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Svanér came free, but Eddie Nykvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Börje Svanér got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Romelanda fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Romelanda's Agne Kilman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Romelanda's Agne Kilman got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agne Kilman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Börje Svanér came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Romelanda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Börje Svanér couldn't finish the play. Börje Svanér received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Eddie Nykvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Romelanda's zone, Christian Vester stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt Hellqvist came out of the goal and Christian Vester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Christian Vester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luxostars IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Vester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christian Vester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Bengt Hellqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christian Vester made a kick off. Christian Vester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leif Lindgren struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Bengt Hellqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luxostars IF. If Christian Vester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Romelanda booed when Luxostars IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Vester didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kjell-Arne Lund charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kjell-Arne Lund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 68 minutes in the game Rickard Björkkvist after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Eddie Nykvist. A very good opportunity. Leif Lindgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Christian Vester had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bengt Hellqvist. Romelanda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Vester was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. After a rather tough play, Luxostars IF's Leif Lindgren got a free kick in the 89th minute. Eddie Nykvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agne Kilman in the 91st minute. Agne Kilman struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Eddie Nykvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romelanda.
