Christian Vester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Berg having to interfere. Hammarby IF's Filip Berg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Hammarby IF from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute, Jonas Wennerqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute of the match Luxostars IF got a corner. Hammarby IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Holger Vollander ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luxostars IF's Holger Vollander was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Filip Berg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

The audience was convinced that Christian Vester's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filip Berg was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 55th minute Jimmy Pihlwall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Nykvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eddie Nykvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Pihlwall in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th play minute Lars Wennerqvist came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eddie Nykvist. 1-1. Filip Berg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hammarby IF's Filip Berg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leif Lindgren in the 71st minute of play. Leif Lindgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Filip Berg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jimmy Pihlwall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy Pihlwall in the 95th minute of play forced Luxostars IF's goalkeeper Eddie Nykvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
