Ture Käller kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The long shot by Johan Söderqwist in the 11th minute really tested Eddie Nykvist's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Christian Vester kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Börje Svanér blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eddie Nykvist having to make a save. When Agne Kilman came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Romelanda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agne Kilman couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leif Lindgren in the 24th minute of play forced Romelanda's goalkeeper Bengt Hellqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eddie Nykvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börje Svanér, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. When Leif Lindgren came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Luxostars IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leif Lindgren couldn't finish the play. Eddie Nykvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Svanér in the 36th minute of play. If Leif Lindgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Leif Lindgren came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Luxostars IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leif Lindgren couldn't finish the play. Agne Kilman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Nykvist having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Christian Vester made the kick off in the second half. Börje Svanér sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Leif Lindgren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Christian Vester really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Luxostars IF's Eddie Nykvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Svanér in the 77th minute of play. Börje Svanér struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Eddie Nykvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romelanda. Eddie Nykvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agne Kilman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Christian Vester came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Luxostars IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Vester couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leif Lindgren got free with Bengt Hellqvist in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luxostars IF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
