Spectators: 7147 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 147) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Börje Svanér took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Romelanda booed when Degerhamn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Åke Tillman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michael Ahlrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börje Svanér in the 4th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Degerhamn's zone, Agne Kilman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Ahlrot came out of the goal and Agne Kilman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emanuel Harman struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Bengt Hellqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Degerhamn. Bengt Hellqvist didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 10th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. With his leg Bengt Hellqvist managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Degerhamn's Sonny Käller fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Romelanda getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Bo-Erik Käcker hit a great ball. The supporters of Degerhamn booed when Romelanda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reine Hedberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sonny Käller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bengt Hellqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sonny Käller's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Sonny Käller might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bengt Hellqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sonny Käller ran back to his position shaking his head. Bengt Hellqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Åke Tillman in the 26th minute of play. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Degerhamn's goalkeeper Michael Ahlrot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Sonny Käller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th match minute, Degerhamn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sonny Käller to maneuver through the defense. Sonny Käller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt Hellqvist having to interfere. Malcolm Back received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bengt Hellqvist came out and tried to block the shot, but Malcolm Back slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 39th minute. Sonny Käller did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Bengt Hellqvist 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sonny Käller made a kick off. Sonny Käller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bengt Hellqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. If Bengt-Åke Valler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 minutes, Rickard Björkkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Romelanda and the Degerhamn players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Romelanda's Rickard Björkkvist got a free kick in the 55th minute. Bengt Hellqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Harman in the 56th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Sonny Käller sped through Romelanda's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bengt Hellqvist. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sonny Käller in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bengt Hellqvist saved Romelanda from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sonny Käller in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt Hellqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Jon Magnusson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Degerhamn's supporters rose to their feet, but Jon Magnusson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt Hellqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 67 minutes, Emanuel Harman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Degerhamn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Harman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Romelanda's Bengt Hellqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Åke Valler in the 69th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Romelanda got a freekick which was hit by Johan Kjellman. After a defensive mix-up in Romelanda's zone, Leif Wästerberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt Hellqvist came out of the goal and Leif Wästerberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Käller in the 76th minute of play forced Romelanda's goalkeeper Bengt Hellqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 77 minutes, Sonny Käller made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Romelanda's Bengt Hellqvist tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Degerhamn's Sonny Käller in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Romelanda's goalie prevented a goal. Degerhamn's Viggo Björkdal got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sonny Käller might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bengt Hellqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sonny Käller ran back to his position shaking his head. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Degerhamn fully deserved thier win.
