Spectators: 7277 (Terracing: 5460, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when George Berg kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Melinens Bollar booed when Malmö Fotbollförening was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Åberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute Tage Örtlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Smefeldt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Melinens Bollar's Niclas Stål got control of the ball when George Berg tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Melinens Bollar's goal looked a bit too open when Birger Benet came free, but Niclas Stål reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tage Örtlund hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. George Berg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Melinens Bollar's goalkeeper Niclas Stål had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by George Berg. 24 minutes into the match, Malmö Fotbollförening's goal looked a bit too open when Tage Örtlund came free, but Mats Smefeldt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mats Smefeldt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Termander, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Hans Termander took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mats Smefeldt. Mats Smefeldt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. George Berg in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Niclas Stål, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Melinens Bollar getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Sven-Arne Öman hit a great ball. Edgar Lidström charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgar Lidström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th minute, one of Melinens Bollar:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Melinens Bollar. George Berg walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 1-2 when George Berg sped through Melinens Bollar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Niclas Stål. Emanuel Norberg's late challenge caught a Melinens Bollar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Norberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th match minute, Malmö Fotbollförening was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Norberg to maneuver through the defense. Erling Hermansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Malmö Fotbollförening players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Melinens Bollar were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Tage Örtlund made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers George Berg in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niclas Stål saved Melinens Bollar from getting behind. After 63 minutes, George Berg made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Melinens Bollar's Niclas Stål tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 68thth minute of the game George Berg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Melinens Bollar's Niclas Stål was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Tage Örtlund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mats Smefeldt. Malmö Fotbollförening's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tage Örtlund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. After some careless play in the Melinens Bollar defense, George Berg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niclas Stål. The Melinens Bollar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niclas Stål should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Arne Öman got free with Mats Smefeldt in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolf Sillén's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mats Smefeldt firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mats Smefeldt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Nordgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tage Örtlund in the 82nd minute of play forced Malmö Fotbollförening's goalkeeper Mats Smefeldt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Melinens Bollar's zone, George Berg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niclas Stål came out of the goal and George Berg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. George Berg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Niclas Stål stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Berg's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. 99 minutes into the match, Melinens Bollar's goal looked a bit too open when George Berg came free, but Niclas Stål reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
