Stig-Arne Blomqvist made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Charles Lind sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inge Vallmark got free with Stig-Arne Blomqvist in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Inge Vallmark fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vännäs's protests and gave Inge Vallmark a yellow card for diving instead. Inge Vallmark kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Marko Källberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stig-Arne Blomqvist made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Inge Vallmark sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Gunnesby United defense, Charles Lind kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stig-Arne Blomqvist. The Gunnesby United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stig-Arne Blomqvist should have stopped the shot. Charles Lind could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Stig-Arne Blomqvist made a huge save. Stig-Arne Blomqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthias Källberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthias Källberg in the 37th minute of play forced Gunnesby United's goalkeeper Stig-Arne Blomqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 played minutes Vännäs got a freekick which was hit by Inge Vallmark. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Askestät in the 41st minute of play forced Vännäs's goalkeeper Rikard Lövkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gunnesby United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Matthias Källberg scored to the left of an out of position Stig-Arne Blomqvist, making the score, 2-0. When Vännäs's Matthias Källberg in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gunnesby United's goalie prevented a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ingvar Askestät to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Marko Källberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gunnesby United's supporters rose to their feet, but Marko Källberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rikard Lövkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Marko Källberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sven-Olof Klintæus came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Gunnesby United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Olof Klintæus couldn't finish the play. Stig-Arne Blomqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Källberg in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Gunnesby United's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Lind came free, but Stig-Arne Blomqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ola Biörkman hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Rikard Lövkvist was a little too slow when Ingvar Askestät got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 2-2. 87 minutes into the match, Torbjörn Drewitz notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Gunnesby United's Stig-Arne Blomqvist. Stig-Arne Blomqvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
