When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kurt Svensson made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Vara's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kåre Vikström fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Vara's Paul Sjöö proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Vara from getting a goal against them.
