Alvin Björk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elof Svensson having to interfere. Johannes Dalström struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Wilhelm Berglund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hestra. In the 12th minute, John Tomasson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilhelm Berglund was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. John Tomasson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilhelm Berglund having to make a save. A collision led to Hestra getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Felix Forsberg hit a great ball. Wilhelm Berglund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Dalström in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the Linderöd defense, John Tomasson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilhelm Berglund. The Linderöd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilhelm Berglund should have stopped the shot. In the 38thth minute of the game Johannes Dalström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Linderöd's Wilhelm Berglund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilhelm Berglund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Tomasson in the 41st minute of play. When John Tomasson came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Hestra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Tomasson couldn't finish the play. John Tomasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Hestra were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Linderöd's zone, John Tomasson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilhelm Berglund came out of the goal and John Tomasson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elof Svensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Eskilsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Hestra booed when Linderöd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Tinglöv didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 0-3 when John Tomasson sped through Linderöd's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wilhelm Berglund. If John Tomasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Aaron Gudmundsson fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hestra's protests and gave Aaron Gudmundsson a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hestra's Aaron Gudmundsson got a free kick in the 67th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvin Björk in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elof Svensson saved Hestra from getting behind. John Tomasson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilhelm Berglund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Elof Svensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattias Eskilsson in the 72nd minute of the match. When the match was over Hestra could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Linderöd throughout the match.
