The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fredrik Valrot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Håkan Alberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Valrot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Georg Termander had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Markus Bocklund fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Busby Babes's protests and gave Markus Bocklund a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th match minute, Busby Babes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markus Bocklund to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Fredrik Valrot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hakenäset BF's zone, Carl Stephansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pär Broman came out of the goal and Carl Stephansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Carl Stephansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st match minute, Hakenäset BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Kaxe to maneuver through the defense. Pär Broman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carl Stephansson's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Carl Stephansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pär Broman having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, Hakenäset BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Algren to maneuver through the defense. Carl Stephansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fredrik Valrot in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Håkan Alberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 37 played minutes Busby Babes got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Skarkman. Fredrik Valrot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Håkan Alberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonatan Håkansson went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score.

The supporters of Hakenäset BF booed when Busby Babes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Skarkman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th match minute, Busby Babes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Erik Fogel to maneuver through the defense. Fredrik Valrot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Håkan Alberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Busby Babes booed when Hakenäset BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Palmquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute of the match Calle Engström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pär Broman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 68 played minutes Hakenäset BF got a freekick which was hit by Emil Algren. After 79 minutes of play Busby Babes's Jonatan Skarkman was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Busby Babes getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Jonatan Skarkman hit a great ball. Fredrik Valrot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Alberg having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Fredrik Valrot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kaj Jakobsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Håkan Alberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fredrik Valrot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carl Stephansson scored 1-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pär Broman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Hakenäset BF players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Busby Babes from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
