In the 13th minute of the match Dick Fågel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sigvard Bergqvist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 16 played minutes Mean Machines got a freekick which was hit by Rune Åkesson. Mean Machines's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nicklas Askelöf 19 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. When Ludwig Sjö came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Tråvad IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ludwig Sjö couldn't finish the play. During the 23rd minute of the match Sven-Erik Bergstedt completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sven-Erik Bergstedt a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Sven-Erik Bergstedt hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Malte Bollström charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Malte Bollström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Malte Bollström kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Nicklas Askelöf who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Sigvard Bergqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Sigvard Bergqvist managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Tråvad IK's Ludwig Sjö fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 41 played minutes Mean Machines got a freekick which was hit by Tim Alebäck. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malte Bollström in the 44th minute of play forced Tråvad IK's goalkeeper Lennart Söderquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicklas Askelöf made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Tråvad IK got a corner. Mean Machines's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jörgen Arhenius ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mean Machines's goalie and right to Jens-Ove Nyman. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mean Machines's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Ludwig Sjö had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kenneth Lindholm's late challenge caught a Tråvad IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenneth Lindholm helped the player get up and apologised. Ludwig Sjö fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigvard Bergqvist having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tim Alebäck during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Tråvad IK's zone, Malte Bollström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lennart Söderquist came out of the goal and Malte Bollström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Malte Bollström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lennart Söderquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malte Bollström in the 74th minute of the match. Kenneth Lindholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mean Machines's Sigvard Bergqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludwig Sjö in the 83rd minute of play. Nicklas Askelöf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Sigvard Bergqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Mean Machines defense, Nicklas Askelöf kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sigvard Bergqvist. The Mean Machines fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sigvard Bergqvist should have stopped the shot.
