Olof Påk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor Pihlblad having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Christian Jakobsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Bjälklaget's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Jakobsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Villiam Åström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Erik Ivarsson in the 19th minute of the match. FC Bjälklaget's Villiam Åström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Erik Ivarsson in the 19th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Bjälklaget defense, William Söderberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Villiam Åström. The FC Bjälklaget fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Villiam Åström should have stopped the shot. 25 minutes into the match, FC Bjälklaget's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Erik Ivarsson came free, but Villiam Åström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 26 minutes, Christian Jakobsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 38 played minutes Kil got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Erik Ivarsson. Viktor Pihlblad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olof Påk, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Stig-Arne Thorsberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Viktor Pihlblad. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig-Arne Thorsberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Christian Jakobsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 45 played minutes Kil got a freekick which was hit by Folke Billvall. If Christian Jakobsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Viktor Pihlblad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stig-Arne Thorsberg's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Söderberg in the 53rd minute of play forced FC Bjälklaget's goalkeeper Villiam Åström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 minutes, Christian Jakobsson made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Kil's Viktor Pihlblad tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Kil were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over FC Bjälklaget's much stronger midfield.
