The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Andreas Björk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Göran Kjellbom having to make a save. Björn Nyqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Åström, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Andreas Björk was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 7th minute. Zulus's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Göran Kjellbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Björk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Göran Kjellbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Björk, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 19th minute Andreas Björk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göran Kjellbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Göran Kjellbom was a little too slow when Andreas Björk got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, Zulus's goal looked a bit too open when Helge Falkrantz came free, but Björn Nyqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Insjön IK's goalkeeper Göran Kjellbom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andreas Björk. 36 minutes into the match, Zulus's Andreas Björk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Göran Kjellbom narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Claes Jakobsson fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Insjön IK's protests and gave Claes Jakobsson a yellow card for diving instead. Jörn Lund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Andreas Björk made the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes of play Insjön IK's Claes Jakobsson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 58th minute, Claes Jakobsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Insjön IK's zone, Jörn Lund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Göran Kjellbom came out of the goal and Jörn Lund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Zulus booed when Insjön IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Oskar Pålsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Kämpe was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Andreas Björk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68thth minute of the game Andreas Björk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Insjön IK's Göran Kjellbom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andreas Björk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zulus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andreas Björk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jörn Lund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Kjellbom having to interfere. Andreas Björk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Zulus fully deserved thier win.
