Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Helge Falkrantz made the kick off and thus started the match. Åre FF's Olov Wenerdahl got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olov Wenerdahl in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Göran Kjellbom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 11th match minute, Insjön IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Jakobsson to maneuver through the defense. Olov Wenerdahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Göran Kjellbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olov Wenerdahl received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Göran Kjellbom came out and tried to block the shot, but Olov Wenerdahl slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. Olov Wenerdahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petter Hellström received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Göran Kjellbom came out and tried to block the shot, but Petter Hellström slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute of the match Paul Runberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but André Månsson skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Åre FF's Hubert Arhenius got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute, Helge Falkrantz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petter Hellström got free with Göran Kjellbom in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anton Billvall took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Göran Kjellbom. Insjön IK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Olov Wenerdahl made the kick off in the second half. Åre FF's Petter Hellström got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Göran Kjellbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petter Hellström in the 61st minute of play. Olov Wenerdahl's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Göran Kjellbom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Carl Aronsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Insjön IK's zone, Olov Wenerdahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Göran Kjellbom came out of the goal and Olov Wenerdahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petter Hellström took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Göran Kjellbom. Göran Kjellbom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Göran Kjellbom came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Åre FF's Olov Wenerdahl. But to his dismay, Olov Wenerdahl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. If Petter Hellström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Åre FF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
