The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karl-Oskar Stål showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Lidberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. When Markus Paulin came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Ruth Wegaz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Markus Paulin couldn't finish the play. Knut Svensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Viktor Finman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Knut Svensson kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Markus Paulin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Ruth Wegaz's Bo Haglund got a free kick in the 28th minute. Karl-Oskar Stål made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Biörkman in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Ruth Wegaz's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Biörkman came free, but Karl-Oskar Stål reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruth Wegaz's Karl-Oskar Stål played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Magnus Holm in the 32nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Per-Oskar Hansson during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 39th match minute, Törstiga FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Oskar Hansson to maneuver through the defense. Markus Paulins short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Viktor Finman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Markus Paulin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Karl-Magnus Holm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Törstiga FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl-Magnus Holm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Oskar Stål breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karl-Oskar Stål made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Magnus Holm in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Bo Biörkman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ivar Barck fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ruth Wegaz's protests and gave Ivar Barck a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th minute, Ivar Barck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruth Wegaz's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
