The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Helge Lägdin during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th match minute, Edane FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Helge Lägdin to maneuver through the defense. Albin Lennartsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dick Lindsten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albin Lennartsson in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. Dick Lindsten was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 40 played minutes Lidköping got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Abrahamsson. The audience was convinced that Albin Lennartsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dick Lindsten was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. When Edane FK's Albin Lennartsson in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The wind increased when Michael Fagerberg made the kick off in the second half. Melker Lönn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernt Abrahamsson in the 57th minute of play. Hampus Rydberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Dick Lindsten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute Stig-Ove Lundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melker Lönn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Ove Lundström in the 96th minute of play forced Edane FK's goalkeeper Melker Lönn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lidköping had won after a very even match.
