In the 17th minute Jens Spetz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Magnus Christoffersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Krister Skager hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Manchester City FC's Edmund Klementsson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Karl-Magnus Christoffersson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Håkan Beneth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivar Petersson took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karl-Magnus Christoffersson. Karl-Magnus Christoffersson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Karl-Magnus Christoffersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkan Beneth in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, FC Rosengård's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Beneth came free, but Karl-Magnus Christoffersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Rosengård's Karl-Magnus Christoffersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Håkan Beneth in the 41st minute of play. The supporters of Manchester City FC booed when FC Rosengård was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Wallgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl-Magnus Christoffersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krister Skager in the 45th minute of the match.

After a rather tough play, FC Rosengård's Jan-Olof Åström got a free kick in the 71st minute.
