Spectators: 7191 (Terracing: 5488, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 20) An unexpectedly hard shot by Ture Deckberg in the 16th minute of play forced Motala's goalkeeper Åke Björling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Oskar Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Kinell in the 17th minute of play. Åke Björling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peder Zander in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Motala's goalkeeper Åke Björling had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peder Zander. Karl-Oskar Blom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Eklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Motala's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Ture Deckberg scored to the left of an out of position Åke Björling, making the score, 1-1. In the 29th minute, Jack Eklund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Motala fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 34 minutes into the match, Motala's goalkeeper Åke Björling had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peder Zander. The attack was good, but when Peder Zander in the 40th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 43 played minutes, Norsholm's Inge Bergvall shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Åke Björling came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Norsholm reached it. In the 44th minute, one of Motala:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Motala. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Ture Deckberg made the kick off in the second half. Reine Wallander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Reine Wallander reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Karl-Oskar Blom. The goal made the score 2-3. Åke Björling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peder Zander in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arvid Andberg in the 64th minute of play forced Motala's goalkeeper Åke Björling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reine Wallander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Jack Eklund dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Karl-Oskar Blom, 2-4. Karl-Oskar Blom made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Jack Eklund sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bo-Erik Jönsson during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bo-Erik Jönsson kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Simon Kinell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Karl-Oskar Blom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Motala getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Simon Kinell hit a great ball. Åke Björling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peder Zander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jack Eklund came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Motala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jack Eklund couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Norsholm's Karl-Oskar Blom got control of the ball when Jack Eklund tried to sneak it across the goal line. Motala's Åke Björling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peder Zander in the 96th minute of play. The Motala supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Motala would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
