With a little luck, Vessigebro's Allan Hafström got control of the ball when Lennart Carlsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 15th minute Magne Högberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Spetz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Lennart Carlsson came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Tibro BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lennart Carlsson couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Vessigebro's Allan Hafström got control of the ball when Samuel Bohlin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute, Lennart Carlsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Allan Hafström. The goal made the score 1-0. After some careless play in the Tibro BK defense, Roger Näfver kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arne Spetz. The Tibro BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arne Spetz should have stopped the shot. Allan Hafström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lennart Carlsson in the 34th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Wennersten during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Vessigebro:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tibro BK:s goal. If Lennart Carlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Bohlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allan Hafström having to interfere. Tibro BK's Samuel Bohlin got a good chance for a goal in the 50th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lennart Carlsson in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Allan Hafström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Samuel Bohlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Bohlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lennart Carlsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Allan Hafström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute Lennart Carlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Hafström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Allan Hafström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennart Carlsson in the 71st minute of the match. The supporters of Vessigebro booed when Tibro BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Hylander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magne Högberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Tibro BK's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Näfver came free, but Arne Spetz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Bohlin struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Allan Hafström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tibro BK.
