The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stig Kolberg kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Jan Karlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Olov Hydén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mathias Danielsson struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Olov Hydén didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vegby. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Karlsson in the 14th minute of play forced Polly Magoo Juniors's goalkeeper Olov Hydén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Karl-Oskar Blom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vegby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Oskar Blom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jan-Ove Strand fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polly Magoo Juniors's protests and gave Jan-Ove Strand a yellow card for diving instead. Vegby's Sören Fagerberg pulled a muscle in his leg after 23 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Vegby's Gabriel Lööf was substituted for Sören Fagerberg. After a rather tough play, Polly Magoo Juniors's Karl Blomkvist got a free kick in the 24th minute. The Vegby fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Vegby's Mathias Danielsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 34th minute, Polly Magoo Juniors's Jan-Ove Strand ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ionel Zmărăndache. Ionel Zmărăndache yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. If Karl-Oskar Blom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Karl-Oskar Blom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Jan Karlsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olov Hydén. Polly Magoo Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan Karlsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ingvar Fernkvist to make the kick off. Mathias Danielsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jan Karlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. In the 64th minute, Vegby's Patrik Sjöberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Patrik Sjöberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Vegby protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Patrik Sjöberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 63 minutes into the game, one of Vegby:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Vegby:s Ionel Zmărăndache showed great skill when he stopped Peder Ahlrot:s penalty. Jan Karlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olov Hydén having to interfere. Vegby's Gabriel Lööf got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 73 played minutes Polly Magoo Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Ove Strand. If Vilhelm Viberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ionel Zmărăndache came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Polly Magoo Juniors's Morgan Burman. But to his dismay, Morgan Burman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Norbert Degutis kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Polly Magoo Juniors's Olov Hydén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Brummer in the 86th minute of play. Karl-Oskar Blom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Olov Hydén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olov Hydén came out of the goal and Jan Karlsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vegby were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
