The Gällstad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 14th minute Ulf Hultin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Axelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ingvar Groth fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gällstad's protests and gave Ingvar Groth a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute, Ingvar Groth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nils-Åke Danielsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Svensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 minutes of play, Gällstad's Jörgen Trulsson made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nils-Åke Danielsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Jörgen Trulsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gällstad's supporters rose to their feet, but Jörgen Trulsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils-Åke Danielsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nils-Åke Danielsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Svensson in the 30th minute of play. Joel Svensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Åke Danielsson having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gällstad's zone, Christoffer Rosendahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aron Axelsson came out of the goal and Christoffer Rosendahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Hultin in the 46th minute of play forced Gällstad's goalkeeper Aron Axelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ulf Hultin to strike the kick off in the second half. Ingvar Groth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Åke Danielsson having to interfere. Ulf Hultin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Aron Axelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jörgen Trulsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nils-Åke Danielsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Svensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Gällstad's Aron Axelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Hultin in the 64th minute of play. Christoffer Rosendahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Axelsson having to interfere. In the 68th minute Ulf Hultin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Axelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Gällstad booed when Blue Saints was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Dalgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jörgen Trulsson took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nils-Åke Danielsson. Nils-Åke Danielsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dag Siggman during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joel Svensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nils-Åke Danielsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Svensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Jörgen Trulsson in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nils-Åke Danielsson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 94th minute Joel Svensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Åke Danielsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gällstad walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
