Kent Sundberg hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Fredrik Josefsson's late challenge caught a Veberöd IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fredrik Josefsson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Veberöd IFK booed when BK Röva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Josefsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute Nicklas Lidberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greger Gregersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Greger Gregersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicklas Lidberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Greger Gregersson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nicklas Lidberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. In the 18th minute, Nicklas Lidberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicklas Lidberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Ferm in the 53rd minute of play forced BK Röva's goalkeeper Greger Gregersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Greger Gregersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicklas Lidberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. BK Röva's Greger Gregersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicklas Lidberg in the 59th minute of play. Veberöd IFK's Nicklas Lidberg got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Greger Gregersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlie Ferm in the 67th minute of the match. After 70 minutes, Nicklas Lidberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Veberöd IFK and the BK Röva players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicklas Lidberg kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After some careless play in the BK Röva defense, Charlie Ferm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Greger Gregersson. The BK Röva fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Greger Gregersson should have stopped the shot. BK Röva's Helge Lidberg was substituted for Allan Jonasson.
