After having played for 5 minutes, Casper Ruud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lineol Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casper Ruud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casper Ruud in the 9th minute of play forced Swestars's goalkeeper Mikael Jespersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Malcolm Skark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Nordin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mikael Jespersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils Arhenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Lineol Boys's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Nordin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonny Eriksson. Jan-Åke Nordin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malcolm Skark, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonny Eriksson got free with Jan-Åke Nordin in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Casper Ruud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Lineol Boys's Jan-Åke Nordin got control of the ball when Jonny Eriksson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Casper Ruud put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mikael Jespersson. Jan-Åke Nordin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malcolm Skark in the 34th minute of play. Casper Ruud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malcolm Skark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Åke Nordin having to interfere. A collision led to Swestars getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Jonny Eriksson hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the match, Lineol Boys's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Nordin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonny Eriksson. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Casper Ruud to make the kick off. Lineol Boys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olof Lundin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Nils Arhenius received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mikael Jespersson came out and tried to block the shot, but Nils Arhenius slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 64th minute. Jan-Åke Nordin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malcolm Skark in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 77th match minute, Lineol Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casper Ruud to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Swestars's Olof Lundin got a free kick in the 78th minute. Casper Ruud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Mikael Jespersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Snorre Hård was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Lineol Boys getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Snorre Hård hit a great ball. When Malcolm Skark came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Swestars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Malcolm Skark couldn't finish the play. Sakarias Fransson kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Ingvar Ekman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute Malcolm Skark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Nordin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Åke Nordin came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Swestars's Malcolm Skark. But to his dismay, Malcolm Skark quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. 90 minutes into the game, Kjell Bergfeldt threw the ball into play from the sideline. Lineol Boys's Vilhelm Ståhlberg quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, Lineol Boys's Birger Siggman got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Lineol Boys's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
