In the 2nd minute Ralf Andreasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Arenstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimmy-Floyd Udden hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stig Matthiessen in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Allan Arenstedt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sven-Ove Fredriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Nunes having to interfere. Allan Arenstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig Matthiessen, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 18 minutes into the match, FC Giroud's goal looked a bit too open when Stig Matthiessen came free, but Allan Arenstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Allan Arenstedt came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Beetlejuice's Stig Matthiessen. But to his dismay, Stig Matthiessen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The audience was convinced that Stig Matthiessen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Allan Arenstedt was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After some careless play in the FC Giroud defense, Gert Jansson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Allan Arenstedt. The FC Giroud fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Allan Arenstedt should have stopped the shot. Stig Matthiessen took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Allan Arenstedt. Allan Arenstedt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. When Patric Kvalfält fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beetlejuice's protests and gave Patric Kvalfält a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute, Patric Kvalfält hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stig Matthiessen was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th match minute, FC Giroud was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sigvard Tunström to maneuver through the defense. Allan Arenstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig Matthiessen in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Gert Jansson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Allan Arenstedt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Ralf Andreasson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-8 in the 66th playminute. Stig-Arne Överman hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Gert Jansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Allan Arenstedt made a huge save. With a little luck, FC Giroud's Allan Arenstedt got control of the ball when Stig Matthiessen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ralf Andreasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Allan Arenstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Allan Arenstedt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gottfrid Tingelholm showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 75 minute of play. In the 77th minute Stig Matthiessen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Arenstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gert Jansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gottfrid Tingelholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ralf Andreasson came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Beetlejuice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ralf Andreasson couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Gert Jansson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Allan Arenstedt, passed just outside the right post. Stig Matthiessen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Allan Arenstedt came out and tried to block the shot, but Stig Matthiessen slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 86th minute.
