In the 3rd minute of the match Mårten Melander shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Allan Arenstedt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ekerö Bois FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! Ekerö Bois FC:s Jens-Ove Nordstedt showed great skill when he stopped Zebastian Fernström:s penalty. 9 minutes into the match, Ekerö Bois FC's goalkeeper Jens-Ove Nordstedt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Ove Fredriksson. Allan Arenstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Hjälm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the game, Ekerö Bois FC's Ted Hjälm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Allan Arenstedt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jens-Ove Nordstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingmar Blom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rune Kvick hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd of the match, Sigvard Tunström tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Jens-Ove Nordstedt got in the way and made a wonderful save. Mårten Melander kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kåre Hedbom in the 26th minute of play forced FC Giroud's goalkeeper Allan Arenstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Ekerö Bois FC's goalkeeper Jens-Ove Nordstedt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Ove Fredriksson. Allan Arenstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kåre Hedbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Ekerö Bois FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Giroud:s goal. A collision led to Ekerö Bois FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Teodoro Padro hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sigvard Tunström to make the kick off. Jens-Ove Nordstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigvard Tunström, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. When Mårten Melander fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ekerö Bois FC's protests and gave Mårten Melander a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ekerö Bois FC! In the 55th minute there was a penalty for FC Giroud. Zebastian Fernström stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jens-Ove Nordstedt. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in FC Giroud's zone, Ted Hjälm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Allan Arenstedt came out of the goal and Ted Hjälm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Ekerö Bois FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Ted Hjälm hit a great ball. Ekerö Bois FC's Jens-Ove Nordstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingmar Blom in the 67th minute of play. Jens-Ove Nordstedt came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Giroud's Ingmar Blom. But to his dismay, Ingmar Blom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 70th minute, Ted Hjälm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ingmar Blom's late challenge caught a Ekerö Bois FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ingmar Blom helped the player get up and apologised. Ingmar Blom kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Kåre Hedbom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Giroud's Reine Wikander got a free kick in the 76th minute. Zico Zakov hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Ekerö Bois FC's Jens-Ove Nordstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigvard Tunström in the 89th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the FC Giroud players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
