Spectators: 7516 (Terracing: 5638, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Stefan Mogren got the match started through his kick off. When Sigvard Tunström came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the FC Giroud fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sigvard Tunström couldn't finish the play. Arsenal's Oscar Sjögren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Arsenal from getting a goal against them. In the 10thth minute of the game Sigvard Tunström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arsenal's Oscar Sjögren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 14 minutes, Zico Zakov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Giroud and the Arsenal players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC Giroud made a substitution. Jim Fors replaced Zebastian Fernström. Stefan Mogren hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Arsenal's Yngve Pååk seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Yngve Pååk the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Arsenal protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Yngve Pååk had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The goalkeeper, Oscar Sjögren, was totally fooled by FC Giroud's Karl-Oskar Dusett, who 26 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Oscar Sjögren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Ove Fredriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stig-Arne Högberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allan Arenstedt having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigvard Tunström in the 32nd minute of play forced Arsenal's goalkeeper Oscar Sjögren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliver Lundström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allan Arenstedt having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goal looked a bit too open when Sigvard Tunström came free, but Oscar Sjögren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Sigvard Tunström took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Oscar Sjögren to make any attempt to save it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Sigvard Tunström made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Sigvard Tunström managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Giroud's supporters rose to their feet, but Sigvard Tunström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Sjögren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stig-Arne Högberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Allan Arenstedt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig-Arne Högberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Stefan Mogren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Allan Arenstedt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, FC Giroud's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Mogren came free, but Allan Arenstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 played minutes FC Giroud got a freekick which was hit by Jim Fors. The long shot by Fred Levander in the 64th minute really tested Allan Arenstedt's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Oscar Sjögren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sigvard Tunström went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Oscar Sjögren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigvard Tunström, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Stig-Arne Högberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allan Arenstedt having to interfere. With a little luck, FC Giroud's Allan Arenstedt got control of the ball when Oliver Lundström tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Giroud's Zico Zakov got his second yellow card of the match in the 83rd minute. The referee ordered Zico Zakov off the ground. Zico Zakov kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Stefan Mogren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Samuel Sundström fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arsenal's protests and gave Samuel Sundström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute, Samuel Sundström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oscar Sjögren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigvard Tunström, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. FC Giroud's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
