The audience was convinced that Douglas Palmquist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ralf Rosen was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Blue Saints's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Melker Barck was slow to take the kick. During this time Oljerikets gubbar IF's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Oljerikets gubbar IF's Melker Barck to fire away a dangerous shot which Ralf Rosen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Douglas Palmquist came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Oljerikets gubbar IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Palmquist couldn't finish the play. When Oljerikets gubbar IF's Douglas Palmquist in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Oljerikets gubbar IF reached it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ulf Ferm stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Blue Saints's zone, Ulf Ferm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ralf Rosen came out of the goal and Ulf Ferm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Oljerikets gubbar IF booed when Blue Saints was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Bohlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Blue Saints's zone, Melker Barck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ralf Rosen came out of the goal and Melker Barck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karl Östensson kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Oljerikets gubbar IF's Ulf Ferm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ralf Rosen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Oljerikets gubbar IF booed when Blue Saints was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Bruse didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Blue Saints fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! Douglas Palmquist's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Ralf Rosen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Carl Kalfhage charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carl Kalfhage the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carl Kalfhage hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Oljerikets gubbar IF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
