The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Greger Svensson during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 played minutes Västra Frölunda got a freekick which was hit by Christian Arenstedt. Otto Linqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Apelkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Vidar Ennegren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joakim Holmgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
