Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vilgot Lindman took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Hällefors's Per-Olof Valler got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After 4 played minutes Hällefors got a freekick which was hit by Per-Olof Valler. Patrik Bergendahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilgot Lindman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Börge Friberger scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manfred Ekström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Hällefors's Börge Friberger got a free kick in the 14th minute. When IF Karlstad Fotboll's Vilgot Lindman in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hällefors's goalie prevented a goal. Hällefors's Andreas Widberg shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 17th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Manfred Ekström but with some difficulty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vilgot Lindman in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrik Bergendahl saved Hällefors from getting behind. Manfred Ekström was a little too slow when Börge Friberger got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 2-0. Manfred Ekström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lukas Örtlund in the 26th minute of the match. Patrik Bergendahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixten Asserlindh, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Rune Kock could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Manfred Ekström made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Hällefors's Manfred Ekström threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from David Vikström, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. During the 40th minute of the match David Vikström completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave David Vikström a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Hällefors's David Vikström got a free kick in the 41st minute. IF Karlstad Fotboll's Vilgot Lindman took a good shot, in the 42nd minute, which hit the crossbar above Patrik Bergendahl's head, and flew over the goal. Hällefors's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by IF Karlstad Fotboll. Börge Friberger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Manfred Ekström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

After 55 minutes, Ingemar Asplund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IF Karlstad Fotboll and the Hällefors players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to IF Karlstad Fotboll getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Ingemar Asplund hit a great ball. Börge Friberger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfred Ekström having to interfere. Börge Friberger struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Manfred Ekström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hällefors. The supporters of IF Karlstad Fotboll booed when Hällefors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gösta Dalgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hällefors's Patrik Bergendahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilgot Lindman in the 66th minute of play. Lukas Örtlund hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Rune Kock charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rune Kock the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Hällefors getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Rune Kock hit a great ball. IF Karlstad Fotboll's Manfred Ekström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börge Friberger in the 75th minute of play. Börge Friberger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the game, Börge Friberger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Manfred Ekström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Börge Friberger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, Michel Lindgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hällefors's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
