Valter Haeger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Olympique Lund's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Anton Löfskog fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Harry Pihl's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manfred Skoog read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Olympique Lund's Lars Täman got a free kick in the 20th minute. Harry Pihl was extremely unlucky when he, in the 25th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Walmarsson in the 27th minute of play forced Olympique Lund's goalkeeper Manfred Skoog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans Walmarsson charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hans Walmarsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st match minute, Ellieton Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Walmarsson to maneuver through the defense. Olympique Lund's Leonardo Rosin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ellieton Football Club. If Harry Pihl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ellieton Football Club's Tomas Harlén got a free kick in the 40th minute. Lars Täman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Harry Pihl made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Anton Löfskog made a precise shot to the right of Manfred Skoog. Olympique Lund's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Leonard Engström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Lars Täman was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 65th minute. Olympique Lund's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some careless play in the Olympique Lund defense, Anton Löfskog kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manfred Skoog. The Olympique Lund fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manfred Skoog should have stopped the shot. Tomas Harlén hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anton Löfskog in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manfred Skoog saved Olympique Lund from getting behind. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olympique Lund's goalkeeper Manfred Skoog, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Wictor Botvidsson fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympique Lund's protests and gave Wictor Botvidsson a yellow card for diving instead. 91 minutes into the match, Ellieton Football Club's Anton Löfskog sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manfred Skoog narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Anton Löfskog left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ellieton Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Olympique Lund's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
