Samuel Hallgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Josefsson in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Smögen BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johannes Helander to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Smögen BK's Daniel Wennerberg got a free kick in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Bad Blue Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Åkesson came free, but Samuel Hallgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stefan Josefsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Smögen BK booed when Bad Blue Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils Lång didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Robert Åkesson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29thth minute of the game Nils Lång who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Smögen BK's Rune Danielsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Wennerberg took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samuel Hallgren. Samuel Hallgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of Smögen BK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bad Blue Boys:s goal. Christian Arenstedt shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Nils Lång could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Rune Danielsson made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robert Åkesson to strike the kick off in the second half. Samuel Hallgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Åkesson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bad Blue Boys's Nils Lång got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Åkesson in the 67th minute of play forced Bad Blue Boys's goalkeeper Samuel Hallgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Smögen BK getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Boris Ugla hit a great ball. Nils Lång scored 3-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rune Danielsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Samuel Hallgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Åkesson in the 77th minute of the match. With a little luck, Bad Blue Boys's Samuel Hallgren got control of the ball when Daniel Wennerberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 97th minute, Stefan Josefsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
